The clear advantage to the tungsten putty is that it’s denser than the equivalent volume of lead. It’s also non-toxic unlike lead. And as putty, easier to pack into certain nose areas of a plane. If there is a downside to it, it’s that it get very soft at warmer temps and might “flow” a bit. It is also pretty sticky so cleaning it out if needed can be challenging.
Still, I love it.
