Phantom (Balsa F5K/eDLG Kit)

$200.00
by ArmSoar
Version

Getting into competitive radio control soaring is expensive; the Phantom is here to change that.

The Phantom is a balsa RC glider kit meant for not only sport flying but to fly in F5K and electric-assist DLG competitions. The Phantom is designed with the same care for performance as our composite models like the BAMF 2 and Fury while taking into account the balsa airframe structure and optimizing for its flying weight.

Easily handling and forgiving, the Phantom will allow you to catch thermals confidently, whether you are a beginner or an advanced pilot.

The wing can be broken down into three pieces, and the V-tail is fully removable into two flat surfaces to make it highly portable.

A little underwhelming?

The kit arrived nicely packaged and the pieces might all be here? There are printed plans but no instructions for assembly. There is no parts list and plans have minimal labeling of the cut pieces. Absolutely no labeling of the numerous carbon rods. The only instructions I can find online is a quick assembly video for the ARF version. Where do I go to get assembly instructions?

Need Better Plans and Instructions.

If you are new to building this is not the one for you. It is a great kit but it could use betters plans and a Instruction sheets to follow. I have built a quite a few models and this one is one of the nicest kits with the poorest plans and Instructions. Good luck. John

Can't wait to get her going...

Impressive packing and from what I saw, the laser cut parts look outstanding. I haven't broken it completely out just yet but this will be my first built up plane in 25+ years, sooo looking forward to getting it started!

Instructions for assembly required

The kit quality is very good, precise parts, however as of early 2023 the are no assembly instructions other than the plans. The photos and chat are my only help… need to be an advanced RC modeling hobbyist to assemble.
